Cereal Box Book ProjectI created all the guidelines needed for a cereal box book project. This includes a note for teachers, rubric, and guidelines for students. Some students may need the guidelines, while others may be more creative without using them. I also created a Flipgrid for students at my school to share their project when they were finished. You would need to create your own flipgrid and then add the information to the last page of this document.

Google Slide LessonI created this Google Slide Lesson for my 5th and 6th grade classes. I plan to walk them through it one step at a time. At this point we are working on citations as a separate lesson. Students are asked to use citations that are given for them and URL's for websites where they get information and no citation is given. Feel free to use or share with others.
Click here for the step by step lesson on using Google Slides. Up your Pebble Go UsageI am planning to give the students in grades K-2 the opportunity to complete a Pebble Go Challenge. This is not required homework. To complete the challenge students login to Pebble Go and look at one article from each of the four areas: Animals, Biography, Science, and Social Studies. Students or parents can fill out the bottom portion of the form. Students may turn in the form in the library in exchange for a small sucker. If you use Pebble Go feel free to copy this challenge. If you don't have Pebble Go it is an amazing resource for young students.
Student copy of Pebble Go Challenge - Click here Bookmarks to Help Students Finish a BookI created these kinds of bookmarks last year for the Kansas children's book award books. I have a few students asking for them for other books. I also have some students that can't seem to finish a book unless I write this out for them. I created a do it yourself type guide. This is my lesson next week for 3rd-6th grade. Feel free to copy.
